Tues Evening

Darling Mother

Thanks very much for letter and parcel which arrived today. The chocolate was a fine surprise!! I don't think its any good bothering about sending washing all the way home as I shall get it back in about 10 days time and I have now quite enough of everything to carry me over that period . Its not much good asking to be put in huts when there aren't any huts to be put in is it? Its very rotten I know but can't be helped. Flying is very nice as a hobby but its boring when done continuously. Yes they have quite a nice little hospital here + the M.O. is quite a young chap + most cheery. Cigarettes are very scarce here indeed the only brands which are always to be had are Da Risque??? + Woddbines - neither to my choice. I am very sorry about your .... + you certainly ought to get away so let me know directly you go to Royston + I will write there - I hope a change will do you good! A cycle isn't much good here as the road to Salisbury is very hilly but if you come down I shall no doubt be able get in sometimes . Captain Cook is quite a nice chap but no conversationalist . They certainly aren't ... no. I haven't been up for 4 days now.

Tons of love and kisses
Yr Loving son
