I haven’t missed anything but you’re going away this week and as am on fire piquet tonight I have no hands at 7:15 and 10:30 and again to dismount tomorrow evening so both days are occupied. As a matter of fact I believe education counts slightly but not enough. I am afraid to do the trick. Sports count for more + in those I don’t excel as a cant soon get into my flight swimming team as there are several few and very good swimmers among the colonials. All these common louts go into their interview with the squadron commander topped up to the nines + gloves etc. my turn will come soon when they will allot me my merits under the various headings (of course we don’t know) + shall get a big 0 for sports instead of about 80% which is required. They ask what your father’s profession was and in that at any rate I shan’t have to say “grocer” as mining engineer sounds all right . My only hope now is that the august name of Disney coupled with father’s profession will help. We have had a rotten day standing out all day at machine gun practice in the rain.
