Darling Mother

Am rather surprised not to have heard but perhaps the parcels didn’t arrive in time for you to write yet. I packed them all in one and then they wouldn’t look at it as it was too heavy so I had to split it up into three. I miss the watch very much but I know you will get it done as soon as possible. The Major told all us pupils that we shall be here another three months at any rate doing any odd jobs required. The only people he is prepared to consider are British farmers. However I shall have another go at him shortly. They have docked our 1/- per day flying pay with great promptitude. I haven’t any more news, so will wind up.

Tons of love and kisses Your loving son, Dudley
