| Royal Air Force Queen's College Oxford Darling Mother Thanks very much for letter + am still getting on all right and free from flu which is a v lucky escape as Jarett had a temperatire of 15”F and was the worst case they had yesterday. There are still people going sick and the squadron is now about ½ strength. It is short and sharp as some of the first lot are now convalescent and will be back on parade in 3 days . So its only a matter of a week altogether but from all accounts that week is a very unpleasant one.. We had pay today but it rather a farce as very few of us were there to draw it . Living is rather expensive now adays as the …. Is the only place to go but I shall be able to carry on for some time yet so don’t send any until I let you know as it is not necessary.
